Around this time of year, we always offer our gratitude to our loyal customers, who have entrusted us to be their fuel supplier and home comfort provider. We truly are a family company and we consider our customers and the community we serve as part of our “extended family.” We will always consider having the support of our customers and the community as a great blessing.

In that spirit, we would like to share a recent story that has touched many of our hearts. And, we’re asking customers and the community-at-large for your help, support, and prayers for a very special young man with a huge need.

Our son, Patrick, plays on the Philadelphia Little Flyers 18U Premier Hockey Team. On Sunday November 15, tragedy struck our team. One of the players on the team, Brian Page, took a really hard hit while skating on the open ice. He suffered two broken vertebrae at the C5-C6 area of the cervical spine. His spinal cord was badly damaged and he is paralyzed from the chest down.

Praying For A Miracle

Brian has already been through two surgeries where they installed two rods and ten screws in his spine. Brian is undergoing rehabilitation now. The doctors told his parents that it would take a miracle for him to walk again. You can follow Brian’s progress by going to this Facebook page.

We know many of you have children that play or have played youth sports and as you know, a severe and life-changing injury like this is among a parent’s worst nightmares. As you might expect, the family and the team are devastated as a result of this injury.

The family will be facing significant medical and physical therapy bills not covered under health insurance, along with any unforeseen future needs, The team has set up a GoFundMe page and created some sportswear with Brian’s number 87 and the motto 87 Strong in an effort to raise money for the family.

Besides your prayers for that miracle, we also ask that you please consider making an additional donation to the fund by purchasing a t-shirt, hat, jacket, facemasks, etc. You can do that by going here.

We appreciate your efforts in helping Brian and his family and thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.

From our family to yours, please enjoy a safe, healthy and Happy New Year.
