There’s a reason why most of our heating oil and propane customers take advantage of our free automatic delivery service. This is a proven method that allows us to manage your fuel supply, freeing you up to handle other important household tasks during the heating season. Here is how it works.

Our computer system tracks how much fuel your home will typically use based on how cold it is outside. We will deliver fuel automatically to you, usually when your oil tank gets to be one-quarter full (or 30% for propane tanks). The result: minimal chance of a run-out, no more calling for a delivery and no more monitoring your fuel levels on your own.

So, instead of having to call us every time you need more oil or propane, you don’t have to do anything! Our driver will simply come to your home and fill your tank based on the schedule we have built for you.

There is no need to schedule and wait for deliveries, and you’ll avoid the expense and hassle of having your system tested and primed for restart—something that is required after a run-out. There is no extra charge to be on an automatic delivery schedule.

Calling for Your Deliveries

Most of our customers like the convenience and protection of our automatic delivery service. But for those who prefer to keep control of watching the level of their fuel tank, we are ready and able to oblige.

With our large fleet trucks, we can get fuel to you when others can’t—faster and more reliably. So, if you prefer to call us with your order, that’s fine. Just remember a few important points:

• While we can make some deliveries within a day in cases of extreme emergency, it is always best to give us at least three days’ notice. The three working day advance notice is necessary for scheduling your home into a delivery route.
• We suggest giving us even more notice if there is a storm coming or we’re locked in a long cold spell.
• Wilson Oil and Propane is not responsible for run-outs if you do not provide enough lead time for delivery.

No matter your delivery preference, you may qualify for a wireless tank monitor. We can install a device that wirelessly monitors your fuel usage, so we will always know the actual amount of fuel in your tank.

Customers can also download a free smartphone app that instantly shows the propane or oil tank level, the fuel being used each day and the next approximate delivery date. You can easily see how much is in the tank anytime, from anywhere At the tap of an icon, customers are able to call or email us. A wireless tank monitor is highly recommended for customers who are away for extended periods in the winter.
