Earth Day Is Every Day At Wilson Oil & Propane

Celebrated annually on April 22, Earth Day got its start because Americans were becoming more aware of the harmful effects our actions had on the planet. The year before Earth Day was first celebrated in 1970, a large fire erupted on the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland because a spark ignited industrial debris floating on the surface. This incident, along with other events, further fueled a growing movement across the country that not only led to the initial Earth Day, but to the creation of the Environmental Protection Agency.
