Yard work is often part of weekend plans and not always a welcome part. Homeowners would often rather spend their time on more interesting and fun activities than doing yard work, especially on hazy, hot and humid days. Many wait until later in the day when the sun isn’t so punishing.
However, as the sun sets and perhaps some clouds roll in, the amount of light you have to work with can become diminished. This makes seeing outside power and air conditioner refrigerant lines difficult and you may just hit and damage one of these lines. Be careful with all lawn equipment when working around your outdoor A/C unit.
Power lines for outdoor A/C units are high voltage and the refrigerant lines are carrying refrigerant under pressure. If you do inadvertently clip a line, we don’t recommend that you try to fix this yourself – it’s a job best left to a professional HVAC company like Wilson Oil and Propane. If this happens to you, just give us a call for safe, professional repairs.
Remember, a properly tuned A/C system can lower your annual cooling costs by as much as 10%. If you haven’t done so already, please give us a call—610-566-7600 to schedule your tune-up; it’s not too late. You can also email us to request an appointment.
Wilson provides full service A/C, heating, duct sealing and fuel deliveries.
