Get a Jump on the Hot Weather: Think about A/C Maintenance and Service Today

Hot weather

Posted: April 15, 2019

Did you know that the five hottest global years on record have all happened in the past five years? In fact, 20 of the warmest years on record have occurred over the past 22 years — a consistent warming trend that couldn’t be clearer.*

So it would be no surprise if the Delaware Valley has yet another stifling, hot summer in 2019. To which we say, thank goodness for air conditioning!

To make sure you keep your cool, it’s best to be prepared before the high temperatures really sink in. That’s why you should be thinking about getting your annual A/C maintenance done within the next few weeks. If you think you need a new central air conditioning system, go here to see what we can do for you.

Maintenance matters

A regular maintenance check can alleviate your air conditioner’s minor aches and pains before they become full-blown injuries – emergencies that usually crop up during the peak demand summer months, when you need your A/C the most.

Although air conditioner maintenance is not a do-it-yourself project—please leave that to us—there are some things you can do to get the ball rolling.

  • Test your AC unit – Briefly run it to check for problems – that way you can give us an early alert about what to look for when we do our maintenance visit.
  • Clear obstructions around the outdoor unit – Remove sticks, leaves, and other debris from around your outdoor unit for better airflow.
  • Ask us about our Central Air Conditioning service plans, which include an annual tune-up, money-saving repair coverage and much more.
  • Check your ductwork – Look for obvious holes, cracks and other defects. If you find any, or even if you don’t, since many leaks in your ductwork can’t be seen –please reach out to us. You may want to invite us to your home to do an evaluation. We can determine if you’re a good candidate for our Aeroseal duct sealing service. Sealing your ducts improves your air quality and lowers your home energy bills. Read more here.
